How do I froth?
Pour milk into a cup until it is about 1/3 full (use more or less milk depending on your preference). For hot froth, microwave milk for 45 to 60 seconds. Move the frother to the ready position by swinging the frother arm toward the front. Hold the cup under the frother and submerge the whisk just below the surface of the milk. This allows air to fold into the milk, for the frothiest results. Press and hold the frothing button for 30 to 45 seconds. You can easily remove the whisk from the frother by twisting it clockwise. To avoid messes as you carry the whisk to your sink or dishwasher for cleaning, keep the cup under the whisk to catch any drips.
NOTE: When frothing during brewing, DO NOT reach across top of the brewer. Steam is released during the brewing processs and can result in a steam burn.

How long does the Intelligent Warming Plate keep my coffee hot?
By default, the Intelligent Warming Plate is set to remain on for 2 hours on the "Hi" heat setting. After that, the warming plate will turn off automatically. If you would like to turn off the Intelligent Warming Plate sooner, press STAY WARM. You can adjust how long the Intelligent Warming Plate remains on (up to 4 hours) and/or set the temperature to "Hi" or "Lo" by pressing and holding STAY WARM and using the hour (H) or minute (M) button. IMPORTANT: The HOT SURFACE light will illuminate when the warming plate is hot. DO NOT touch the warming plate when this light is illuminated.

The glass carafe, brew-through lid, permanent filter, removable filter holder, water reservoir, flip-top lid, frother whisk, and scoop are top-rack dishwasher safe.
